About Attorney

Larry E. Altenbrun

"I will fight"

I will always fight on behalf of my clients. As a former high school and college wrestler, a Montana kid who paid his way through college and law school out of state, and a military academy graduate, I’m not afraid of a fight. If I handle your case, I will encourage you to settle only if it is in your best interest, and I will always remain focused on winning your case at trial.

"I am communicative and responsive"

I provide my clients with my personal cell phone number, and I am available 24/7/365. I return email and telephone messages promptly. I keep my clients fully apprised of developments in their cases.

"Separation is in the preparation"

I believe strongly that preparation, attention to detail, and hard work are the cornerstones to success in litigation. There are no shortcuts. Your case will be prepared to go to trial.

"Aggressive Professionalism"

I treat everyone with courtesy, respect, and kindness. While courteous and professional, I believe that litigation must usually be handled in an aggressive, proactive manner. I will never allow opposing counsel to bully or disparage my client.

My Education and Experience

My Education
And Experience

I have practiced law for over 20 years, and I’ve decided to focus my practice on personal injury law. I obtained my J.D., magna cum laude, from Tulane Law School, where I was an editor of the Tulane Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. Before that, I received my Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Marine Engineering Systems from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. I graduated in the top 5% of my undergraduate and graduate school classes.

After graduation from the Merchant Marine Academy, I served in the United States Naval Reserve for eight years. I also held a license as Marine Engineer issued by the U.S. Coast Guard for over ten years. I’ve worked aboard ships as a fish processor, deckhand, engineering cadet, and engineer for several years.

I’ve authored several law review articles and have lectured internationally on various topics. I was admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Washington and Oregon before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
